Low country dance in sri lanka

  There are three main dance traditions in Sri Lanka.  It is classified as Kandiyan, Low Country and Sabaragamuwa according to its topography.  Nowadays, everyone's attention is focused on low country dance. I will briefly explain low country dance.Dances in low country are highly ritualistic. This form of dance is performed to appease evil spirits which cause sickness and is thus called 'Devil Dance'. The dancers wear masks depicting many characters varied in forms of bird, demons, reptiles, etc.  There are 18  main  dances  related  to pahatharata style known  as the  "Daha Ata Sanniya" held to exorcise 18  types  of  diseases  from  the  human body. The specialty  of  this low country  dance tradition is the wearing of masks.  This is rich in "Aharya abhinaya". This is a beautiful place we came across by chance while visiting Badulla. If you also visit Badulla, visit here as well.  I will leave you a brief description here. This is designed to commemorate  Ravana'speacock This is a beautiful design that has attracted the attention of local and foreign tourists. According to the story of Rama,Sita this peacock was the vehicle brought by Goddess Ravana Sita. There are various theories for this. However,this is designed to be reminiscent of the Dadu Monara vehicle. It is located in Bathgoda, Uva Province, Sri Lanka. This is a very beautiful place. An attractive place for tourists who like to take pictures. Thank you

  I went to see the Nine Arche Bridge in Sri Lanka. I will keep the information for the visitors as follows. This nine-arched bridge, also known as the Demodara Bridge, is located between the Demodara Railway Station in Sri Lanka and the Ella and is located in the Badulla District of the Uva Province. It is located at an altitude of 3100 m above sea level among the highest peaks in the central highlands. Its total length is 91.44 meters , width is 7.62 meters and height is 24.38 meters. Built in 1921 , it is completely finished. It is made of brick, stone and cement. The Nine Arche Bridge is a popular tourist attraction. Thank you

Babarakanda waterfall    we are going to know about bambaraknda waterfall. it is situated in Sri Lanka in Badulla  district. it is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. which is nearly 240 meters long.     it  is flowing down  from a huge  rock. rocks  are  like a  man  made creation. in  the  middle  of   the waterfall the stones are very thick. normally water comes down slowly that  does not  harm us. but in the  rainy season  it carry a huge amount  of waterdown. so it  is not  good to go near .the above fallen water gather into a rock space like a pond.   the area is covered with water and three to higher water level from the ground. but space  where  the  water hits  ground  has  more  depth  than other  area  and it seems black. that tells  us  that  place  has   higher depth. the  waterfall situvated area is called "Kalupahana".
